Suggestions:

Maintain a 0-5 foot non-combustible zone around your house. Plant free, fence free, pull mulch away from house.

Use rock mulch.

Keep roofs and gutters clean.

Screen eave vents and crawl space vents (so embers can’t get in).

Cut weeds/grasses low.

SMCWD is asking residents to voluntarily reduce water use. Please do your irrigating in the evening / night and reduce the frequency of your watering.
